Do you want to create your own Retro Flowers in Affinity Designer?
Diving deeper into Affinity Designer is really rewarding. If you know how to create your own vector illustrations you can build a huge library of assets you can use over and over again. With these assets you cannot only create vector elements but also seamless patterns as well as mugs, pillows or notebooks - just to mention a few things.
So yes, this class can be your foundation not just for learning Affinity Designer but also digging deeper into this comprehensive program. And yes, that's just the beginning what Affinity Designer can do for you.
In this class you learn how to create your own flowers with the shape tool in Affinity Designer. I will show you how to use this tool creatively and not just as it is because each shape has its own settings and allows you to create something entirely new.
But: You need to get an eye for this and learn how you can modify the different shapes to create something new from them.
You'll learn
- how Affinity Designer is set up (overview of the Workspace)
- how to create documents in the right size
- how to get inspired on Pinterest
- how to create a color palette from your inspirations
- how to use the shape tool and modify the shapes it helps you to create
- how to draw your own shapes from scratch
- how to add the flowers to your assets studio
What you'll need for this Class
- your iPad with Apple Pencil capability
- an Apple Pencil (it works without a stylus but makes this a lot harder!)
- Affinity Designer for the iPad (you can download a free trial on the Serif website, it's a one time fee, no subscription)
What you'll get
- 9 Lessons in FullHD (55 minutes in total)
- a Color Palette
- Once finished you automatically get a Certificate of Graduation!
Features and Benefits
If you are not yet familiar with vector programs this is a great introduction for you. And, the best thing: At the end of the class you have already created your first assets you can use for new projects and you are able to draw your own assets - without the help of the shape too.
Besides that, if you plan to dig deeper into vector art and learn Adobe Illustrator knowing Affinity Designer will make things much easier.
